Dr. Meg Milligan

Psychology at Troy University

Dr. Meg Milligan is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Troy University in the U.S. who has over two decades of teaching experience at the college level. Her educational background includes a B.A. in sociology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Auburn University in the U.S. She is a licensed psychologist and certified Quality Matters (QM) Master Reviewer of online courses. She completed her psychology internship at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Tuskegee, Alabama, with rotations in outpatient posttraumatic stress disorder, geriatrics, inpatient psychiatry, and neuropsychology. She has published and presented on a wide variety of topics. Her current publications are Social Drift Theory, as well as Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders—Classification of Psychopathy in, in R. D. Morgan (Ed.), The Sage Encyclopedia of Criminal Psychology (2018); and Chapter 5: Psychological Development during Childhood, in R. Summers (Ed.), Developmental Psychology: How the Mind Grows and Changes over a Lifetime (2018).
